Passover Seder Supplement

We’re living through an unprecedented and challenging moment. Our top priority now is the health and safety of our team and their families, and the entire IFA community. Much like all of you, we are working to move forward and find a new normal — but also keeping our focus on our core mission.

The one thing we know is that the crisis of coronavirus has not stopped the crisis of violent extremism. In fact, white supremacists have planned to car-bomb hospitals and use the virus as a bioweapon against Jews,  law enforcement, and others —  while continuing to spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, anti-Asian attacks, and disinformation.

It’s very clear: white supremacist terror is a dire threat to our communities and our country, especially during a pandemic. And it comes alongside the broader rise in anti-Semitism, racism, xenophobia, and other forms of extremism in recent years.

Many of us are thinking ahead to Passover. The reality is that the coronavirus pandemic may prevent us from observing the holiday together with our extended family and friends. But when we do gather, whether virtually or in person, we wanted to ensure you had the tools to explore the many themes of the holiday — including modern day injustice and our shared responsibility to fight back.

While we read the same story that our ancestors have been revisiting for thousands of years, we can make it personal by adding our own voices and context.

So as we grapple with the many challenges of this moment, including the rise of white supremacy and violent hate in our own country and in the face of this new global crisis Integrity First for America created this Passover seder supplement to help you prompt conversation at your table.

Page 1 can be used as a reading during your seder; Page 2 provides more information about IFA and our Charlottesville suit to prompt further discussion and allow your guests to get involved.

There will be many new challenges we face as we make our way through this time. Working together, we can ensure that increased hate and violence is not an acceptable outcome.

Please, stay healthy and safe,

Team IFA

Our lawsuit against the Nazis and white supremacists who attacked Charlottesville is headed to trial — and our plaintiffs need to know we have their backs.
